Although built in 2007 with 3 GB ram on board this used IMac easily outperforms many newer non Apple PC all -in -one computers and netbooks. Compared to a more recent 2-3 yr old HP all-in-one for example with 4 GB ram and newer processor it's faster and more reliable. The HP suffered unexplained catastrophic failure with very light use after less than 2 years. The IMac appears more sturdily built and has the bonus feature of not having to tolerate the Windows 10 opearating system. It has a mostly aluminum case and presents itself nicely compared to other thin flimsy cheaply made units by other manufacturers. Although the Lion operating system is not the newest version it may be upgradable and is far superior in terms of ease of use compared to any of the complicated Windows versions. It has a clean appearance, looks sturdy, and a much better choice economically speaking for everyday use than many non Apple PC products. This is my first Apple product and so far I am impressed!Read full review

The iMac really runs well and I really like the X10.11. I added the update and it's really sweet. The only thing that I didn't like was it had a red line down the left hand side of the screen. It's out of the area of interist so I accepted the iMac any way.

As someone who's been on PC's pretty much my whole life, buying an iMac has been an amazing experience! It's alot easier to get used to than I thought it was gonna be! Not to mention, all the cool features an Apple has over a PC. I've been downloading Apps like a mad-man haha. I'm also learning to write my own Apps in Xcode! I think that iMac is kinda like one of those things that once you try it, your hooked. I don't see myself going back to a PC anytime in the near future. I got an excellent deal on mine here on eBay and would probably never buy one new (just because of cost), but if you have the money to buy one new, it's worth every single penny! I'm sure my iMac will outlive all of my PC's, and exceed their functionality for many years to come!
I always wanted an iMac, and Ebay is a great place to go for great deals. Even though this iMac was manufactured in August 2007, it is still an AWESOME machine. I have been using computers with microsoft products since the 90's so using a different system was a little confusing at first. The problem was, the iMac was much easier to figure out than I had expected. I would highly recommend an iMac to anyone. Don't hesitate to buy a used one that has been taken care of. Better that a new one in any other brand at the same price. Just figure out how much you have to spend and buy an iMac for a comparable price. If you have $1,000 to spend on a new computer, buy a used iMac for $1,000 instead!
This was my first Apple product and it sure won't be my last, i love this product, it's easy and simple and and very fast for something made in 2007. I think everyone who needs a computer but is tight on money should invest in this. It's a great computer and needs more love!
