As much as I love books on Santa collectibles I'm afraid I have to agree with the first 2 reviews. The author obviously knows very little about sizes, prices and what, if anything, the Santas do. On page 100 in the top left hand corner there is a rubber Black African American Santa. He does 'nothing'...does not rock and he is about 4" tall, not 8". Price is hard to establish...I have never seen another one, which could make the $200 a low price. If there are a lot of 'him' hiding out there in collections $200 is way too high. On page 154, 2nd from the top is what he calls 'Santalike doll-family set; none are really Santa, but they are similar'. In Denmark, Sweden, Norway and this area these 'Santas' are called by different names: Sinterclaus, Joulupukki, Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas, and Christkind! So this family of Santas is, in fact, a different version of Santa Claus.Read full review
Disappointing at best. Limited research. Large name brands not even mentioned. Pictures are also limited in display / commercial area. Not worthy of a book yet. P;ease take back to the drawing board.
