This is an awesome CD. I wouldn't say it's the best example of Anthrax's greatest hits, but then again I don't know much of their stuff. This one had the songs I was looking for when other collections were missing 1 or 2 of my favorites. I'd like to hear more from the Joey Belladonna/Island years, but if you just want some fast and aggressive music to drive to, this CD does the trick.
Anthrax were, and remain to be one of the Big Four when it comes to pioneering thrash metal. Though I always felt Joey Belladonna was the weak link, I have to give overall credit to them for their mark in the genre's history. This CD is fairly comprehensive of their catalog, and is recommended listening. Mosh!
I wish there were more 80's tunes on this disc. The best Metal decade was the 1980s. Metallica, Anthrax, and especially Megadeth lost something after they reached popular status. Blast this on your car stereo...except for the annoyingly ear-painful "Bring The Noise" and the crappy mess "I'm The Man". How can we blame Limp Bizkit for the eventual Rap/Metal trend? The best in my opinion are "Only", "Got The Time", "Indians", "Antisocial", and "I Am The Law".
this is some good anthrax
