I really really the looks and sound of this speaker however, I am nervous that mine might fail on me (I bought 2 of them) after reading all of the negative and positive reviews (positive...probably because of Anker’s phenomenal customer service) on Amazon that mention product failure with this speaker. Also, for those of you that think that the Pro has too much bass there is an easy fix to this if you have an iPod / iPhone. Just go to Settings Music EQ and then select the Bass Reducer setting. This is what I do and since the BassUp feature can’t be turned off on this speaker; the Bass Reducer setting cuts the bass in all the right places but still leaves a better low end punch then if you were able to turn off the BassUp feature. I tested this with my SoundCore Boost as well and this setting with BassUp feature on leaves you with a very very nice NET low end bump then when I have the EQ & the BassUp were both off. So I would think that the net benefit would be the same with the Pro. If you have an Macbook you might have some issue with the sound cutting in and out; it does it on mine (a late 2012 Macbook). It works great though with older and newer iPods and iPhone 6s & 6s Pluses (I don’t have an iPhone 7 to test or an Android). The only reasons that I gave this speaker a 4 star is because is because I can’t micro adjust the volume level on it. There seems to be very distinct rather large volume jumps any time I push the volume buttons or try to slide volume on the touch screen. Also, my Anker SoundCore Boost being only 20 watts is noticeably louder than this 25 watt Anker Pro speaker. This doesn’t bother my too badly though because I never crank this speaker up past 3/4s anyway; it’s probably due to speaker driver efficiency. Some better quality higher fidelity speakers drivers take more wattage to get moving so maybe this is why it’s not as loud as the Boost (which is 20 watts) or even the JBL Flip 4 (which is 16 watts and is very very loud). Overall it’s been a really good speaker though (and I have all three that I have mentioned) and it’s the one that I use the most.Read full review

This was probably less than half the price of another well known brand I was considering. You cannot beat the value. I have been very happy with sound quality and volume!

Excellent sound, great battery, not too big to carry around. a little too much bass at high volume is turned in to a bad bump sounds. In your equalizer turn down your low tones and it will be good. Build quality realy good.
