I researched pet clippers before making this purchase. Our old Oster clipper is more than thirty years old. It still works but heats up quickly, requiring frequent stops to cool. After checking Andis website and talking to Pet Groomers, who all said they use Andis clippers. I made the purchase. The ceramic blade does not heat up as fast as medal blade and the motor doesn't heat up as fast either. This allows getting the job done quicker with less effort, which is easier on groomer and the dog. Clipper is slightly louder than our old professional Oster but the lighter weight and cooler running make up for it. The accessories and case are also handy to have. Also interchangeable blades make it more useful.

I googled a lot to find a good brand for my dog (who has a very thick coat). These worked okay, but it still took hours to get the job done.

I only used it once on my small dog and I loved it. The blade is very sharp and smooth and not too heavy to hold. I now want to purchase a new set with more changeable blades and attachments.

This is my first time cutting our dogs’ hair, and these professional clippers work on all types of hair with ease. They cut not only poodle hair, but yorkie & terriers as good as the groomer. This set is so user friendly even a beginner like me can have results like a pro.
