This book is written with the intent to educate and help change a person from their chemical dependence (food chemicals) into becoming free from the emotional sources of that dependence. The author goes into quite some detail about how our childhood deprivations cause a ready stage for food to come 'save the day'. The author explains the biological processes of addiction, first, in biological terms and then, in simpler language with well thought-out analogies. I'm half-way through the book and can't wait to find out how the food addictions can be resolved with a permanent result.
