I bought American Idol for my kids and I always play them first to make sure they are appropriate for my kids. The outfits that you are able to choose for the conestent you create could definately be better suited for kids. The game is along the lines of dance dance revolution and guitar hero where you have to push the button to the beat of the songs. (Kind of fun!) The singers sing off key when you are not doing well (Which can really hurt your ears...and becomes really annoying) The contestant goes throught the tryouts and then goes through eliminations until you win american idol or you are "voted off" because you didfn't do well enough. I beat the game in one night (And I am not a serious gamer) and was sad there weren't more levels or competitions.
The game arrived on time. It's kinda fun. But the judges dont say too much. There are only about 20 songs to choose from and you only get a portion of the song. But its only gameboy advance so how do you expect to fit more in a small cartidge anyways. But you get into it after a while.
I absolutely love this game. It is so much fun customizing your character. They even had Paula, Randy, and Simon down perfectly.
