So far I have read 6 chapters of this book 1-5 and 13. The author is very funny and this makes the chapters easy to read. The wording is also easy to understand and follow. This book gives great insight into assessments. I like how the chapters are organized. If you need to know about assessments in the classroom as a teacher this book will tell you what you need to know and what you should know about assessments but do not have to apply it into the classroom to still be successful in teaching assessments.
The author trys to incorporate humor and jokes into this writing. While this humor makes the book more enjoyable to read and a lot less dry, he puts so much in that I feel like I spend more time reading his side comments than the actually material. If he would cut some of this out, I would get my chapters read faster. I had to buy this book for an education class.
We rented the book, but didn't have time to read it or use it. The renting process was great, but by the time we received the book the class was almost over. If we had used the book, I'm pretty it would have been an excellent book overall.
I bought the book because I am taking a grad course in Education that required us to purchase the book. The book is good soo far and very informative.
