"A chic flick for car guys", I announced to my wife while loading it into the player! Saw this movie on television as a youth at age 7 or 8 and the story, predominantly the film's ending, stuck with me all these years so I decided to buy it to re-watch as an adult and I still REALLY ENJOYED this movie (!!) and my wife, seeing it for her first time, did as well. It is not a riveting, stick-you-in-your-seat kind of flick, featuring a simple boy-meets-girl story line with a so-so plot, poor character development, etc., and it is a terribly "campy" film but it still keeps your interest and fascinates along the way, transporting you BACK IN TIME with scenes of early-to-mid 1970's Los Angeles and "the Boulevard" - Hollywood's Sunset Strip . This is what it does most (for me) and it does it WELL! it is a great time capsule film, giving the viewer a pure, up-close and hands-on look at 70's Americana with an awesome soundtrack of songs from "back in the day". This was an ultra low-budget movie in it's day and you see that even more clearly now as it feels shot mostly with someone's hand-held (and it basically was), and maybe not great directing, but I think that is what makes this movie so pure with so much fun and gives it the great feel it does and why I find it enjoyable still to this day (and is probably one of the films making me into such the car guy I am today)! As for the DVD itself, transfer quality from film onto DVD is likely as good as it gets, with the movie's originally poor filming being it's own drawback, and sound quality was SURPRISINGLY GOOD (!!). I cranked the volume up a good bit because of the great soundtrack this movie has to offer and it came through loud and clear, so thumbs UP for the makers of this DVD and I'm glad to add it to my collection!Read full review

I was a young Marine at Camp Pendleton when this movie was made, I spent my Weekends in LA, and was asked by Movie Staff if I would like to be an extra... I accepted for the fun, and became Mac in the pool hall, after production wrapped up I tried to buy the car but came up 50 dollars short, I do know the one piece tilt front end came from J C WITNEY...... This movie is now a part of my legacy and history..... you will enjoy it ! Paul LeMat is a great guy and friend.
