Fits quite well on the carburetor but the overall height is taller. I used the old rubber washer from my original air filter to keep the dirt from going down the screw that holds it in place. When putting on the top cover to cover the air filter it seemed to sit a little higher also but not a problem. When tightening down the filter with the foam do not over tighten or you will start to collapse the top a little. Still for the money it's a great item. We will keep an eye on it because this is the breathing heart of the engine. If dirt gets past the seals then the engine will be shot. Keep the foam filter oiled as directed by Honda. I used foam air filter oil that I use on my dirt bike filters. Noticed now that I have used it for a while the noise is a little louder. it's from a CLEAN air filter on the machine. This one might have the paper element not a tight wound as the original but remember the original element was very old and probably plugged up a little.
