If you want home theater to sound like those high end hi-fi stores, you need to bypass that power in your receiver and use external amps. I use only high end receivers in my home and upgraded each one to using Adcom amps. The GFA-7500 put out the real power I was missing. I thought it sounded good, but after adding these amps it is absolutely incredible. This amp puts out the real power that new Blu-Ray's demand. This amp provides the punch that was missing, of course the additional GFA-5800 driving the front channels doesn't hurt, nor the 4 - 15" subs help matters as well.
Rock solid reliable power. I've had mine over ten years and pushed it hard on cd's and dvd concerts without any problems. It is my main power amp driving 4 klh Fives, 2 large advents and 2 custom Kenwood 440's. These are all acoustic suspension speakers that take a lot of power to drive. Hooked in parallel makes them a 4 ohm load. The 7500 drives them to the limits with ease. The sound is like non other. I also use it for movies and it is fantastic. Worth every penny.
Adcom are the best, Most honest sound reproduction. My Lexicon was nice to, But a little on the Dishonest. Was refined and clean, But colored the mids and highs some. My Rotel, I use only for a sub as it was heavy on the bass naturally. Suits it well there. Get Adcom, There cheep compared to many and everyday there honest. You hear the music as it was suppose to be .Power you have to force to clip. I will never buy another amp from another company. Mine are all made in the USA. Can't speak for there Japan and China models, Don't like there preamps except those that are stereo. I would avoid those.
This is a killer amp. I wonder how ADCOM makes so much amp right here in the USA for so little money.Just as I stated in my review of the GFA 5500, I own 3 KRELL AMPS, KAV 250a, 250a/3 and KST 100. I am using the 250s for my home theatre but trust me this ADCOM 7500 can match them boot for boot. I was so amazed with the chest pounding BASS of the GFA 7500. The bass is deep but well defined and well controlled. Excellent detail and deep soundstage. Nothing in its price range comes close. If you are into home theatre I highly recommend this amp.
Let me say that I just love this amp,it sounds great,it came well packed and in a timely manner. The reason I bought it was because a new one was about $1500.00 to $2000.00.The only thing I disliked about it was after about two weeks, the center channel stopped working, but it turned out to be just a blown fuse which I was able to replace myself and have not had any trouble with it sense then.Aside from that I am very pleased with this purchase.
