I am a 90-95 golfer wanting to get better. My personal best is an 80 and this is my eighth season of golf. I used to have the Adams A1 irons which are hybrid more than blades. I played with my new clubs and shot an 86 in very cold weather. I cannot get over how much a slightly open or closed face affects ball flight. I am very straight however GIR is my biggest hurdle. I look at my new irons and love their look & weight/feel. They also have the exact grips I wanted - Golf Pride. I am a sweeper so my friend told me to take a little sod with each shot because they are like blades. If I focus and hit it square, my shots were bang on for line. I shot 44/42 on a par 71. I know I can be 5 or more strokes better this year and who knows maybe even break 80. I think Adams have an excellent product that created greater confidence in my game!Read full review
I tried the Adams CB1s at GolfGalaxy and loved them. They were out of my price range so I settled for the Adams Pro Idea Gold Irons. I couldn't be happier. These irons LOOK spectacular. With the thin topline and slimming clubface, these clubs really breed confidence. I am an amateur and these clubs are improving my game. If you hit the ball correctly, these irons are so soft and powerful. if you hit thin, you are going to get a stinger. These clubs have awesome feedback. I'm not good enough to "work" a shot but I can safely say that I am a better player with these irons than with my previous ultra-game-improvement large cavity-backed irons. I haven't even mentioned the hybrids yet. Good luck trying to hit a BAD SHOT with these things. They are simply incredible. I can't believe I got this entire set new for under $250. It feels like the hybrids alone are worth that. I don't know enough about shafts to comment on the Raylon FX but so far I really love just holding the club. The weight, the flex - awesome. highly recommended.Read full review
Great product. Very forgiving clubs. Equal in quality of the higher-priced iron sets. Would highly recommend these

After playing many brands of irons throughout the years, I hit some Mizuno MP-58's at a golf show recently and fell in love with the pure feel that they give when a ball is struck well (and the feedback they give when a ball is struck less well). Unfortunately, I cannot affort the high price of those irons, so I went looking for a more reasonably priced alternative. After hitting many different irons, I found that alternative: The Adams Pro Gold forged irons are that alternative. They feel just as sweet and true as the Mizunos, but are available on Ebay for quite a lot less money. Mine have KBS tour shafts, which are wonderful. One surprise for me was to see how forgiving these irons are. I'd been using Ping G5's and I honestly expected to play a much higher price for my occasional mis-hits, but I have not found that to be the case at all. These are vastly underrated irons. If you are a decent ball-striker (or a mid- handicapper wanting to improve his game), then these are a great choice. I absolutely love these irons.Read full review
These are absolutely one of the best forged irons for the money/cost out there. They have a thin top line, minimal offset, and great feel when you hit them. They are a polished chrome finish and are very smart looking and easy to clean. My only advice is that these are not for novice golfers or those who need help getting the ball in the air. These are player's clubs and you need to know what kind of shaft you need to make the best choices.
