There are numerous similar compact keyboards available. The best that I have used is a Kensington model which is no longer available. Others have smaller keys which do not have a positive action and can be unreliable. This keyboard is a little larger, having an extra column of keys on the right, somewhat superfluous. It is a about 1/2" wider as a result. But still smaller than full size keyboards which include a separate number pad. I find such keyboards bulky since I rarely need to do numerical calculations. For the situations where I need to enter numbers, the top row numerical keys suffice. I believe the genuine Apple keyboards may be better, but at a higher cost. As for wired vs wireless, I prefer the minor inconvenience of the wire compared with the lower reliability (due to battery issues) of wireless keyboards.Read full review
