You get what you pay for. This is a cheap dash-cam, and so long as you know that going in, it will serve you well. It does work and does record the video but it has some limitations. The limitations I found are that it will stop working if the ambient temperature reaches the upper 90's. It will recover and continue working after it cools off, but you will have to reset the date and time every time. In my case, I just got into the habit of resting it every morning knowing it would stop working in the late afternoon. One feature that drew me to this model was the WiFi connectivity. I did not want to have to rely on a tiny screen stuck to my windshield to preview or select video clips to save, and thought using my smart phone screen would be easier to deal with. The limitation I found is the slow speed at which the files transfer over the WiFi. It will do in a pinch, say if you have to access it along side the road after an incident, but for 99% of the use it is easier to just remove the memory chip and plug it into your computer. Another issue is that after a couple of weeks the camera came loose from the mount. It was meant to be removable, but the mount for some reason loosens up to the point where the camera will bounce around in the mount as you drive. Bottom line, yes it will do the job, but you have to be aware of the issues and work around them - or spend more money to buy a higher quality camera.Read full review
