Like the old phones, but lighter (thinner plastic; integrated electronics). Too light, really, for a table top...should be hung on the wall. Redesigned the back so you can coil up a longer phone line, not need a very short line, for hanging on the wall. No need for an electric cord plugged into an AC outlet with an adapter. If connected to a traditional landline connection (not a cable modem) the phone remains powered in case of a power outage, for DC power comes through the phone connection to keep the phone powered...a traditional requirement by the FCC before the smart phone existed (phone companies maintain large battery banks in their Central Offices to keep these phones powered). Has a TT (touch tone) and DP (dial phone...sounds like a tone but produces the dial signal for each number), lighted dial, 3-settings each for ringer and hearing volume. 10 phone numbers stored for quick dial. Be aware: No caller ID log, intercom, message storage that come with a "modern digital phone."Read full review
