This is a very easy phone to get to used to. The written note taking facility has come a long way. Take the pen out, and the notepad pops up - a very handy feature. Double tasking is more easily accomplished because the screen is large enough to provide two windows - great for copying information between apps. The sound quality is excellent, the screen is bright and sharp, the speech to text feature also works really well. This is my second Samsung (I have used the iPhone, Samsung Infuse, older Sony's and Motorola's). I can read kindle books comfortably and see larger google maps for finding my way around new places. There are a lot of features I have yet to sort out, but for a person who likes to jot things down in a rush and transpose them later, it cannot be beat.
I've had 4 different Android phone over the past 7-8 years. Battery life has been a problem with each of them. They all had to be connect to power as none of would last more than 4 hours of use and most of them wouldn't make more than a couple off power supply. The Galaxy Note II easily last all day off the power supply with far more applications and still has 35-40% left when I put on charge for the night. I had heard the battery life on the Note II was better but my expectations were for the larger screen. The screen is nice but battery life far exceeds expectation. I use to have spare batteries at work, my car, and home to get me through the day. Even extended life batteries. I have two spare batteries for the Note II still new in the box I'll sell you. In 3 months of use I have never seen the dreaded red flashing message "PLEASE CONNECT TO POWER"Read full review
Best phone I've ever owned! I've never been so happy with a smart phone until I bought my Samsung Galaxy Note 2! I used to think it would be an inconvenience to have a larger phone like the Note 2, but now I don't think I could go back to smaller smartphones! It's never been this easy to text, read and watch videos on a phone for me. The S-Pen Stylus is an incredible feature as well; it makes things so much simpler. However, all the amazing features and abilities of this phone are anything but simple. Love this phone, would recommend it to anyone!
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is by far the best phone that I've ever owned. I had one previously to buying one recently that I had gotten wet inside of a ziplock bag. I found out the hard way that these phones are not water resistant and neither was the ziplock bag that I had it in. This phone is the smartest and easiest to control of any phone that I've ever used. The screen is a superamoled (whatever that means) and has a really nice picture. It's almost like having Blu-ray on my phone. Anyway, I highly recommend this phone to anyone that is looking for something that has plenty of storage space available on an SD card or for those that just want to play around. This phone is the best so far.
Love this phone. I was looking at the Samsung mega but after reviewing a side by side comparison, I saw that the Note had many more features and 1/3 more memory. After spending 2 hrs on the phone with straight talk they told me I had a bad phone because they couldn't get the upn correct. If anyone has this issue find another straight talk customer and copy their number. I did that and phone works great. Again I love my note!
