This monitor and its specifications are no longer made and I'm lucky to grab it as this is my 2nd one. The first one I bought new. It's because it is an usual size 25.5" (though marketed as a 26") and its resolution is 1920 x 1200 not 1920 x 1080. The aspect ratio is 16:10, not 16:9 and the refresh rate is 59hz and the response time which is KEY for video gaming is 2ms!! Two milliseconds is lightning fast. This particular spec is hard to find in an LCD and now monitors are 1290x1080 or if they are x1200 the response rate is not 2ms. Again a great find for me.
I purchased this monitor for work, and for the work I do the larger size everything. The extra height over 1920X1080 displays is very helpful. There seems to be some color shift toward the top of the display at some viewing angles, but it is not too bad and does not interfere with use of the monitor.
I already had one, why not 2? Now I have oodles of real estate.

The ASUS VW266H has a nice matte finish and relatively even back-lighting. For its age, the grey scale isn't terrible, but the vertical angle below 10 degrees is somewhat dark (as to be expected from a TN panel).
Did everything I expected.
