I bought two when WOOT had them on sale, for my wife and daughter. Both wanted light but laptop-spec devices to handle email, Facebook and browsing. My daughter also needed Office to handle some work at home. The systems replaced heavier ThinkPads. I have upgraded both to Win 10. Daughter has mangled her power jack, wife dropped hers and cracked the glass and digitizer. Picked up two Repair units on ebay, swapped display with one and system board with the other. Easy to maintain, excellent engineering and design, in normal use very reliable. Over four plus years, have been extremely impressed with battery life and screen life.

This is a sharp notebook, easy to use and to carry. It has a decent battery life and only heats slightly on the bottom. I bought it to replace my workhorse Lenovo Thinkpad , which is too heavy and will now be desginated to my office. The Thinkpad runs slow; this is so quick I have to be on guard that my fingers don't accidentally touch something on the screen I didn't intend! I had hoped for an Ultrabook but didn't want to pay that price. I'm really satisfied with this option. My only complaint is Windows 8. I'm a PC user so I'm not accustomed to the I-Phone/Apple style on screen. It's a wonderful concept, though, but has a long learning curve. I added a standard Windows app to help me with the transition.
The notebook's touch screen works like a charm, makes my work so much easier. The 2 finger quick zooming feature is my favorite as my eyes have problems with small text/pictures. The battery life is not bad (I keep my screen usually at 40-50% brightness), the sound is awesome, it is light weight and it doesn't burn my lap like my other i5 laptop. I have been using it for 1 month and it exceeds my expectations.
After a lot of online research, I chose this one to be my next machine, but I am already facing problems- I opened and started my laptop for first time on 26th April 2013, after initial settings and windows activation on same date, the battery was shown low by laptop,so I plugged charger. Now,as I am charging battery,I feel mild electric shock waves all over the metallic part of laptop including lid and interiors, while moving fingers over. Moreover, while charging, the track pad does not respond well, the cursor hangs and sometimes uncontrolled movement, but only during charging it is happening. Also I hear a constant 'kit-kit' kind of sound repeated within interval of few seconds present even without charging position. So I am afraid to use it furthur.
Report a Youtube lcd panel was removed to work order report. Andoejiman touch to remove tempered glass, and is well used. Patriot 120gb ssd was added to the Window 10 Mounting and installation.
