I picked up a six core/six thread xeon 3.0ghz CPU for $50 but it was in a LGA1366 CPU. FInding a board to run it was a problem and the only decent choice is this board. It is really particular about the memory it likes and it likes it only in a certain way and it is max 24Gb, but once you get everything stroked and loved this thing is solid as a rock. It has been running now for 44 days without a reboot and Windows server 2012r2. It has SataII disk, but I put a nice PCIE-4 SATAIII controller in and all was good. All USB2 but again external card. I am using it as a Plex media server and it is just excellent for that. Best $200 I have spent in a long time. 12 threads do some serious transcoding and media management.

I'd give any Refurb 4 out of five since they don't come with an I/O shield or install disc but that's the way everyone does it not really negative. But not this one. For the price it would almost be greedy to expect more. Pro The board works so good that I'm RMAing my older Gigabyte board because I have Zero doubt it had issues now. Even when I get it back, I'm selling it. This board is sweet and did I mention I like its price. The voltages aren't all over the place like GB board. The board makes no noises and things that used to crash, doesn't anymore. This board can run my out of spec OCZ PC3-1600 that needs 1.65v without problems. In fact I'm going back to slower PC3 1333 because without Benchmarks I couldn't tell any difference. Cons Still a great price after I paid another $15 for an I/O shield. That's why it still stayed a 5 and not a 4. Thanks to online manuals, no thanks to drivers being blocked WTF? One unidentified part in the Device Manager. I hope it is just the SMBios or something. I told my friends about this great deal and I'm sure the rest will not last that long.Read full review
This motherboard is an epic piece of equipment. I had my original P6T board running for 5 years, while overclocking my cpu's factory clock speed of 2.6, to 4Ghz flat. The board was as stable as a rock. Mine died due to my own negligence, in my excitement to build a new system, I just left the motherboard sitting on the bed for a week or so... Electro Static Discharge will kill this board(as well as any electronic equipment) so, don't be a bobo, wear a wrist strap or keep it mounted/in an anti-static bag. The point is, I could have purchased any board to replace my original cooked board, and instead, I went out of my way to get this board again.

first attempt to flash bios with new version , supporting intel i7 DO batch ended in bricked mobo, good thing is that BIOS replacement chip is avaliable on ebay for 20$ Search on google confirms it's a quite common problem .Other than that - mobo looks nice and is overloaded with features that most computer users will never need
