Good continuation of the first game. Nice additional features. This may sound weird, but I don't like all the jumping "platform-style" stuff. Don't get me wrong, games like this that throw in some parkour (The Saboteur was my first and favorite) are great, and I didn't mind all of it, I just hated trying to mash buttons to do the running jumps. I'm very interested to see where they go with the new games. Some people might think that the introduction of a superior race into our evolution (a la Battlestar Galactica's ending--oops, another spoiler alert for those folks) is a bit of shark jumping, but it's an epic, after all. A shame this can't be traded on Goozex, but eBay saves the day!
It's a console port and it takes some time to get used to the controls on a PC. A PC Gamer doesn't deserve the same treatment as a casual gamer that uses his/her thumbs on a console controller. We have a passion for PC's and we deserve the best from developers and publishers. PC Gaming is where innovation is expressed through rich graphics and gameplay. Technology advances there first and than it gets dumbed down to other platforms.. Not the other way around! Graphics in this game are good but not "Crysis" like. Content is rich but somewhat repetitive and boring - e.g.. "Go here deliver this letter or Go there gather some feathers...." It's for 12y old. Dialog and voice over is mediocre... An italian speaking English? Not very happy there. Combat is quite entertaining but mostly done auto-style by engaging in certain keyboard hotkey moves. IGN gave this game a 8.9 on PC. I would say it deserves a lot less than that. Maybe a 7.5Read full review
Excellent game, wide open free roaming and interaction with the environment. Very good controls and play mechanics as well as maps and rewards, unlockable costumes puzzles and tombs. In the 15th century renaissance Italy you play the role as Ezio Aidorte De Fereinze as a assassin who is seeking revenge for the death of his family. A good storyline blends betrayel and conspiracy. If you played the original Assassin's Creed the graphics and evironments remain intact. Better in game improvements over the orginal. Just make sure you have a constant reliable internet connection to play this game otherwise you won't be able to run it or save your progress. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5
great game i loved the combat and story....my only gripe was that the game was too easy but this was solved with a mod that makes the game harder....one thing to take into account is that 3 or 4 dungeons that are clearly on the disk happen to be left out of the game because they where researved for peeps who preorderd but the game is still more then worth it...the game has great set peices and voice acting which makes it realy feel like a living breathing world...i highly recomend going into the options menu and turning off all the hud elements because it makes it more immersive and frankly is the way the game was meant to be played. but u may have to still use the world map...guess it just depends on how hardcore you are...some great gameplay in this one guys DONT MISS OUT!
Assassin's creed II is amazing. I've played through the demo with my ps3 and it was definitly amazing. Although this game is awesome, ubi has implemented DRM servers which requires permanent internet connection which I do not have that often since I am using wireless internet...... The game is more restrictive on pc, but if you are truly AC fan than I would definitly get it from ebay. (Retails are expansive anyway)
