Quiet and cools well. I am running an X5680 CPU and this cooler keeps it nice and cool. 66 c under load ( playing World of Warcraft ) and idle temp around 38 c. If you want a nice upgrade from the stock CPU cooler this is a very good option. You can mount it any way to maximize your cooling. I personally go exhaust air up as my case is designed to vent hot air out from the top of the case. Not all cases allow this so you should mount it in the standard rear exhaust position in a case with no air ventilation at the top. I attached photos of what this build looks like. Intel motherboard DX58SO2, MSI 1060 GTS GPU , 650 watt EVGA PSU, Intel X5860 CPU, 24 GB of G.Skill RAM all enclosed inside a Fractal Design case. Sweet little gamer I built for my nephew. Has a couple Intel SSD drives and runs Windows 10 without an issue. Looks good and games like it should. I am very harpy with this CPU cooler and would recommend getting one. No need to liquid cool unless you are an extreme overclocker. If you want a good air cooling product, this is a great option. Big plus on how easy this was to install vs other coolers I have used. I hope I was detailed enough to show what you are getting buying this type of CPU cooler. Great choice for a 1366 CPU socket. The third picture shows actual temps my CPU runs with this cooler playing my World of Warcraft game for over 15 minutes.Read full review

Well it is a big tower heat sink & the performance is great for a budget cooler & it cools my I7 6700k over clocked to 4.7 ghz, holds the temp around 48c to 51c under heavy load.. it is a wide cooler there is little room between the ram module & the heatsink 1/8' on the MSI z170 Xpower titanium the asus sabertooth z170s a little more room but not much but other than that is excellent budget cooler Yes i will highly recommend

When I bought this I was worried that it would not perform good enough to freely overclock an older Phenom II processor, but so far it's done perfectly. The voltage is completely maxed out at 1.55 v and I'm sitting at about 55 degrees after an hour or so of Prime 95 running AND IT IS VERY QUIET And that's with a 120 TDP CPU!!! No joke this thing is comparable to any decent liquid cooler. It also comes with a really excellent MX-2 thermal paste pre-applied so that saves another $5! ALSO this was a serious concern of mine but it does leave just barely enough room for all four ram slots even after being installed. There is just no losing with this thing, it's absolutely amazing for the price. Don't bother with the noctua, save the money for a better board and overclock to your heart's content. if cooling a ryzen 7 cpu (and u have your own bracket to make it work (am3+ - socket 754 will be fine)) this will fit and work fine. it's a shame it does not work with am4 out of the box. if you add a more aggressive fan, this thing is much better. gaming gta 5 @ 55c 3.8ghz 1.18v nb at 1.5ghz stock volts with as5 ceramique.

I noticed a twenty degree difference compared to my other heatsink. As long as I can get a replacement fan when it goes out I will be a happy customer indeed. I highly recommend this product. It performs well. You get what you pay for, and I for one like higher-end computer components for they last a long time.
