I use mine to boost the audio in my smart phone. Seamless operation. Water resistant (dew, light rain, etc). Do not submerse (in lake). PER THE MANUAL, DO NOT, DO NOT, USE THE INTERNAL CHARGER WITH ALKALINE BATTERIES, USE NIMH. Would recommend this product to anyone.

Easy to use, great range and the best part... you can use batteries to power the actual speaker! I went and bought rechargable batteries ($4 a piece) which are pricey, but worth it because the unit will actually charge the batteries and then you have true WIRELESS sound. (Regular batteries will work and last a while as well.) The sound is more than enough and is onmi-directional. It is a solid unit. One hint in setting up the antenna... turn down the volume of your stereo/radio/etc. and let the speaker and antenna do the work. If the blue light on the antenna is on, the volume is up too high and will cause the speaker not to work properly. One you know how this works with your particular radio, you're set! Great speaker!
I had heard nice things about this speaker, but it was no longer being produced. I located a used one on Ebay and went for the purchase. After a bit of clean up, I was surprised on how well this speaker operated. Well worth the money spent. The speaker is used on our outdoor lanai and is in constant use. Too bad Audiovox discontinued this speaker. Why no 5 star rating, the on/off switch is of poor quality.
This is a very sturdy wireless speaker that has exceptionally good sound. I have been a little disappointed in the amount of volume that you are able to produce from it as you must really turn up the receiver in order to get enough sound from this speaker for outside use. Other than that, it is a great buy.
Everything works great..
