What can I say, it's the same recoding I grew up with, only it's not a 33 record album with the scratches. There have been hundreds of Annies since Andrea McCardle (sp?) but none that can sing like she does. The case features photos of the original cast and gives you a glimpse of the recording process. The CD is full of songs everbody loves. My only complaint is the last few songs. I thought it was Andrea's first performance of "Tomorrow." Instead, it is the writer and producer singing, trying to sell the show to investors. It's poor quality with a piano. The kids always stop the CD when it gets to that point. Although I'm sure there are some who will love this unique aspect of it.
The musical set during the depression has the great song Tomorrow that would have given hope if actually sung then. Everyone used to love reading Little Orphan Annie and the stage production based on the comic strip is fantastic. The CD is a must have for anyone who loves soundtracks.

I'm so happy to have this on CD, sure sounds better than on the scratched vinyl I was listening to for at least 10 years when I was young. Now I get to share my love of Annie with my 3 year old daughter who seems as enamoured as I am.
this is an awesome soundtrack it is fun and enjoyable to listen to the best songs on this soundtrack are all of them. If you have not listened to this soundtrack then I recommend you do
