I like the fresh sound of an African guitar master who claims that this record, his last before his death, is the best he has done. It is a wall of sound consisting of African beats, blues guitar, and other instruments. A couple of the songs proceed into reggae territory, making it's original home in Africa, and those are great songs. I do not understand the language in which Toure sings, and he has said that one MUST listen to the lyrics in order to "get" the music overall. Unfortunately, i purchased one promo copy on ebay with just a couple of liner notes and think that probably the album has the liner notes in English which would be nice to see so that I can enjoy the album even more. But it is still a great listen, especially whenn listening alone devoting one's full attention to the listening process. I think this album is exxcellent.Read full review
