Arrived sooner than I expected, very easy to set up, and the price is unbeatable! Unfortunately it didn't fix the issue that I'm having with my desktop but it works perfectly in our laptops!

I was expecting to get a massive boost from this device which is advertised for 600 MBPS. My older laptop is only capable of 2.4 ghz, so I thought the 5ghz channel would deliver. The overall speed is ok- I was averaging 130 mbps, however, this is only half of what I can get on my iPhone on my home network, which averages 290-300 mbps of speed. While an improvement, I wanted to see higher numbers. It is truly plug and play, however, and of a good value. Even worse - failed after 3 months. Avoid!

My WiFi stopped working a few months ago so I had to connect via LAN which was a pain. A friend suggested I purchase a USB adapter so I chose this one and "voila," my WiFi started working again. I still have a minor problem of losing a connection but all I have to do is remove the USB dongle and it reconnects immediately. I might have to do this once a day. So for a few dollars, I was able to once again reconnect wirelessly to the internet.

I bought this to get the 5ghz network in my laptop and, while it does find the network, I must say that the range is poor or has trouble with walls. I'm about 12 ft away from the the to router, but it will not find the network. However if I stand like 6 ft away from the router, the network will be found. Conclusion: If you have your computer really close to the router is a good purchase. Otherwise, spend some extra money and get one with an antenna.

The USB Wi-Fi network adapter is nice and small but did not work out of the box. Tried the USB Wi-Fi network adapter in two different PCs, both PCs running Windows 8.1 recognized USB Wi-Fi network adapter and configured it but the USB Wi-Fi network adapter could not find my router, or any of my neighbors routers. Broken from the get go. I would not recommend this product.
