Finding a copy of this truly unique and original film was like being flung back into my childhood. I was ecstatic, especially because I thought all copies had vanished off of the face of the earth. Not that I can remember much about the story, but I do recall certain key elements. You've got a bunch of mice, all portrayed by very adorable puppets, who live in the sewers underneath a city. In these sewers grow magic flowers that can cure any disease. While they live peacefully alone and safe, a wealthy and greedy businessman is planning on spraying a new brand of rat poison into the sewers, which would kill all of their kind instantly. It is only natural for the heroes of the story to try and save the day, but I'll leave you to enjoy that! The puppets (only the rats and other anthropormorphic animals are portrayed by puppets, whereas the rest are normal humans) are mastered perfectly and the sewer scenery is absolutely beautiful. A must-see!Read full review
