If you're a child of the 90's or at least someone who appreciates what was then called 'alternative', you just can't not like Lit's "My Own Worst Enemy". Okay, maybe you can, but you'd be an exception. Classed with it's comtemporaries it's a classic that gets as much replay as does Guns & Roses' "Paradise City" among its contemporaries of the 80's or the Eagles' "Hotel California" among its contemporaries of the 70's. The whole album is decent, and can be enjoyed the whole way through if you've survived your own bad relationship and need to be soothed or riled by the agnst in Lit's riffs, but if you're going for this CD and hoping for a little more variety you're going to be disappointed. The bad relationship theme seems to dominate the whole thing.
I learned how to sing and play guitar at the same time with this album. Literally. Every hook, every verse, the big singles, the lesser knowns...everything on this album is golden. I bought this again because between having the CD stolen from me or losing it, I needed to have it and the other albums.
The hit off this record, "My Own Worst Enemy" is a great song. But the rest of the disc is pretty much typical ho-hum wimp rock. If you can pick it up cheap, do so. But don't put out much for it.
Excellent product for the money. My daughter wanter to purchase this CD and she has enjoyed it. This is a good way to build up a music collection. Affordable. If you don't like the CD then you don't have a lot of money invested in the product.
