This first book in the Broadmoor Legacy series is a great glimpse of the life story of Fanny Broadmoor. My empathy is great for the pawns women became in the chess game of life men played with family assets in the early part of the 1900s befoe women had any rights to speak of. The trusting grandfather's will is certainly manipulated by the eldest son who manages the investments of the family. He is in cahoots with bankers and lawyers who seem to have no conscience when doing favors for each other. I look forward to reading the third book to come out this coming Summer of 2009. I am rooting for Fanny, her love and her success in spite of the stinker, Uncle Jonas.
really enjoy the series, definitely keeps your interest and suspenseful!

I thought the story line was excellent and could hardly put the book down. Now patiently waiting for the second book in the series to be released. There was nothing that I disliked about the book. I decided to buy it after reading the synopsis on the book's cover and although it was unlike any book that I have read...I would highly recommend it. I hope you find find this helpful!

I like Tracie Peterson and Judith Miller's books so when I saw this one I immediately got it to read. It is book one in this series, setting in the early 1900's, filled with romance, intrigue, villians and everything that makes for a good book. I was glad I purchased the book and look forward to the next one.
