I was able to get laser etcher up and running in a couple days(but I am a manufacturing engineer and have lots of experience with machine setup). I make signs and bought the laser etcher to help automate the process. The cycle time is very slow when doing cross hatching or layer designs but still allows me to do other things while laser is etching out letters. The program is not too bad to operate. The tech help from manufacture is useless, I don't know if stuff gets lost in translation or they just don't know. I have had a few glitches and asked the manufacture about them. They do reply to me every time but answers make no sense to me, so I would say you will be on your own for help. I would buy a water chiller or something to keep water cool in summer. if you are going to operate the laser etcher a lot. I am having trouble with water warming up so I bought a small refrigerator and put my water reservoir inside that to keep the water cool. The laser tube is water cooled and if ran hot will shorten life considerably. I would buy again at this point. I have been thinking about buying a second one to have backup so I always have one operating. Parts and problems are going to be a issue because of poor tech help.Read full review
