In every way, these mole traps are outstanding! They're roughly 8 bucks a piece (including delivery), which is a great value, especially considering the results (dead moles!). The easy to find quality on-line videos gave me a full-orbed expertise on how to fully utilize the traps. I had reseeded my lawn, and at the same time a labour of moles decided to begin feasting on my yummy ground critters, making a mess of my efforts to establish much needed turf grass around my house. Within 2 weeks I’ve trapped 3 moles, and now I haven’t been able to spot any further mole digs anywhere in my yard. I’m quiet convinced there are still some moles out there digging around, and when I see their digs, my Trapline Mole Traps will be called in for battle...and they (my Trapline Mole Traps) will win!!!Read full review

I purchased a package of four of these traps. I followed the directions for trap placement carefully excavating recently used mole feeding tunnels. I placed the traps back to back hoping to catch a mole no matter which direction it moved in. After several attempts over weeks in several different areas always choosing the newest mole runs I caught nothing. The only thing I succeeded in doing was digging up my lawn. Next I resorted to placing the traps individually at open holes that appeared to be exits from the tunnel. Once again I moved the traps several times over a couple of weeks never catching anything. I understand the principle of these traps. The construction is good quality and setting the trap is relatively simple. They just do not seem to work at catching the little critters though. Moving on I used two of the spear type traps that thrust six steel spikes into the ground when triggered. I nailed (pun intended) two moles with these traps within a few days. Others may have better luck but for me these body grab mole traps were no help at all. Read full review

The trap works great if you place them in an active run---that's the hard part, finding a run that is being used. When I do I place a trap facing each direction in the middle of the run so you will catch the mole which ever way he is using the run. These in the run traps work much better than the above ground types that have to pierce the ground to stab the mole. The traps should come with a length of chain to fasten the trap---I added some light chain to them and fasten them to the ground with a wire. They work as advertised.

We have had mole problems constantly over the years and I've tried just about everything. I've tried the poison worms, pellets, smoke bombs, exhaust systems, etc.--all of which were a waste of money and time. I've tried various traps that were expensive, cumbersome, required big holes in yard to set and were rarely effective. Very frustrating! I came across there traps 8-10 years ago and couldn't be happier. They are easy to set, don't require big holes in the yard and most importantly they work great. The traps are made of stainless steel, are easy to clean of dirt and do not corrode. I still have the original 12 traps I ordered years ago and they still work great. The simple ingenuity of these traps still amazes me. I cannot say enough good things about these traps.

I haven't been able to get a mole yet. The biggest problem is not knowing when a mole has been caught, without digging up the area. I have had great success with the spear/plunger style traps, but not these. Right now I have 4 set up in tunnels and I have left them there for over a week. Maybe they will get one. If you have a flat golf course like yard, I think these would be easier to use as you can see the tunnels. I live in a more rugged area, so the tunnels are all over, and you can't really tell which one is active vs. not. The traps are easy to use and seem to be of good quality. I just haven't had any success.
