Ritchie couldn't go wrong by having the assistance of a fine writer. I've read a ton about near death experiences but Ritchie's was undoubtedly was one of the best written and most extensive I have ever seen. You owe it to yourself if you have any interest in this subject to read his story. I should probably mention, though, his experience included an encounter with Jesus Christ, so if you don't like books about Christ, then maybe this wouldn't be the book for you.

I found the information he was shown on how who people commit suicide spend their afterlife was the most compelling. I think if they knew beforehand, they would not have taken their life. It was also an easy read.

Very interesting NDE but kind of strange and difficult to understand the hell experience...

If you miss this story you'll live with a hunger you never knew you had...but ignorance isn't bliss in this case. This book is only 1/4" thick, and can turn a non-reader into a page-turner. This true story of ones near death experience is short, sincere, penetrating and testifying without a doubt. Do you ever wonder what it is you don't know? Admit possibility, and a door will creak open where you never even knew there was a door at all...What another knows is never limited by what we know...another cAN know something we don't. We do need to keep in mind, that though they share, it is not their duty to prove anything. That labor to come-to-know is on us, through the only legitimate witness. This story can help begin our personal search for truth's Possibilities. We really don't need to waste time on doubt, since one has to have All Knowledge Of The Universe to be expert enough on what in the universe is nOT so. 'Not-so' is a mental clog. 'Is-so' is an open door.Read full review
I love this little book. It's the grandfather of all near death experiences, written by a humble and genuine man about his experience in "dying" for a few minutes while in an army hospital during World War II. There's so much wisdom in these few pages - very moving and compelling.
