Was ready to drill and tap my rifle when I discovered the screws that came with the mount had a different thread pitch than any of the dozens of taps that I have.. locally, this tap was 3 times the price for a lesser quality product.. very happy with this purchase and if I ever need a odd size tap again, you're the first place I'm going to !!

Tapped a scope mount hole in a hard old Remington M1903A3. I used a mix of crisco, automatic transmission fluid, and teflon bearing grease as tapping paste. Harbor freight sole me a box of three different size tap handles for about 8.50. Now I have the scope mount in place and some more tools!

Perfectly adequate tap, works fine. The body diameter was slightly larger (maybe .0005) than every other tap I've used in my 45+ years of machining, so it wouldn't fit in my small tap holder, but that's a personal problem that I doubt 1 in 1000 people will have.Ha Ha.

I was happy to receive the plug tap, a #6 48, is not typically found in a standard set, it was eaxctly what I needed to mount bead on my 20 gauge.

You get what you pay for. I don't waste my time on cheap imported taps.
