I was tired of my cell phone sliding around on the dash so looked for something to grip it securely without having to clamp it into a vise style gripper. These are just what I needed! Lay it on any smoothish surface (pebble textured dashes excluded) and its good to go. Drop your phone or anything else on the pad and it's not going anywhere. My dash is pebble textured (2007 Focus) so I placed my pad on the instrument cluster hump , so my phone only contacts the pad on a limited area, yet sticks so good I can manually push the phone with my finger and it will not slide. getting 5 of these I gifted the rest out , and have had nothing but the best reviews from my friends.

Bought them for my dash. They are sticky but also very flimsy, so when you take the backing off, be ready for a sticky fight. They will stick to themselves and then it's nearly impossible to get them straightened back to flat. Also, there are many surfaces that they actually will not stick to.

Was surprised at how well these pads hold items. The only drawback due to the nature of the dashboard, is that the pad sticks better to the phone than the dash. This is due to the fact the dash is textured and the phone is not so the pad tends to pull away with the phone. Easy solution is to put the phone across the pad widthwise instead of lengthwise. Now the dash has more contact area than the phone. Phone still stays in place but comes off leaving the pad behind.

These are super sticky, on top and bottom. They are smaller and thinner than other pads, which is good and bad. Paper sticks to it nicely. I ended up using an air conditioning magnet system for my phone, but I still use one or two of these for radar detector, pen, paper, parking decal, etc. 5 of them were plenty for all of my family's uses. Great value.

I was so disappointed when I tried using these. First off, unless your phone weighs as little as a cheap plastic fork, it will not stay on this pad at all. I guess if you were to place the pad on your dashboard completely flat, and put your phone on it and just keep driving straight without making any turns, or better yet, don't drive, just sit in your car, then it would be great.
