I order this to use as a battery charger. It took some time to as there was no instruction with it. When battery fully charge current indicator indicate zero. Too early to talk to it durability. I recommend this.

The output voltage varies depending on the input voltage which is not very useful and the current varies depending on the load, meaning I have to adjust the curent for every different load. I read the specifications of the parts used on this module and the module "should" tolerate 12V as input, however if I use more than 9V at the input the leds becomes very bright, and the display board very hot. I measured the microcontroller power pins voltage on the display and it had 7.5V (should be 5V max) so the 3.3V voltage regulator they used on the display board is clearly not working. The voltmeter accuracy is not as good as claimed.

Claimed accuracy of the volt meter is 0.1%. It's not. On the item I received, if I set voltage to 4.2V (for charging lithium batteries), it's actual output voltage was as high as 4.37V, which is out of spec for any lithium-ion battery charger. Also the indicator leds were all red so it's hard to tell if you are CC or CV mode. In addition, the board gets rather hot when delivering around an amp of current. I haven't tried it at higher current yet.

It didn't worked as stated not once, the volt/amp meter stoped working the second time i tested it and the converter module started smoking in the only time i managed to crank the amps a bit higher not even close do 5 amps which is the max rated output amperage! Waist of money and time!

- aweome price; - nice display for both adjustable voltage and current; - if you want to use it for a long time at over 2A you need extra cooling; - below 2A it needs no extra cooling, it's good to go; - nice precision multiturn pot for fine adjustement of voltage and current; - one over the other is a small regulated feed source so needed in any small electronics lab.
