I have now purchased my 3rd package of 5 Second Fix. I was leery with my first purchase, wondering if it was just another scam. I figured what the heck, I'll give it a shot, and the price wasn't going to break me. The first important things to do are: !. Be Patient. Don't rush, 2. Have a plan on what you need to repair 3., Where you are going to work on your item 4. Do you need someone to help hold the broken piece/s 5. Remember, you only have 2 hands, one has to hold the item in place, and the other has to use the glue pen and UV light . . I didn't do that, with my first tube. When I just got it I was so curious to see if it really worked, that I grabbed a broken figurine. Not realizing that some of the broken pieces were on awkward angles, where it was hard for me to keep it in place; so of course I was frustrating myself and not able to keep the pieces together. This was my own fault, because the very first straight piece melded together perfectly. It is more difficult with abstract or awkward angles, because in my case with trying to keep and hold the exact positioning of the pieces was more difficult. My hand would start sliding and I'd lose the hold. Since I'm not the type person to give up so easily, I realized all the mistakes I had made were of my own doing. Now I was going for my second attempt at using the 5 second fix with UV light, and I was prepared with anything I may need. Well, guess what? The 5 second Fix with UV light and I, repaired a Swavorski Crystal Bear, a pair of eyeglass arms, and a cloth and metal carpal tunnel brace. I'm so happy it worked for me! So, "When used right, the 5 Second Fix is tight!" :)Read full review

I used this on three things so far, a wire, a torn plastic blade on a RC Helicopter, and a plastic switch on an Xbox One controller. As the instructions told of using this on coated wires like on a USB Cord, that was the first thing we tried. It peeled off within a few minutes after curing and allowing it to set for around 30 hours. The next repair was a rotary blade on a RC Helicopter that had been torn nearly off the shaft. After curing an allowing to set for 24 hours, it remained intact, as a matter of fact it is still is repaired and fully functional after many hours of flying as well as crashing. The last repair was done to one of the joysticks on an Xbox One controller that had broke off when it was apparently dropped on a cement floor. After curing and allowing to set for 36 hours, it worked excellent for about 30 seconds and then the repair let loose. Overall as can be seen from my experiences, this product like it's predecessors has great success with some repair work, and a bit of a miss with others. The shocker here is a helicopter wing repair was the successful repair! These blades are subject to intense abuse in normal flight let alone hard crashes into the chandelier, speakers, cabinets and hardwood floors. Super glue wood not have worked at all for this repair and we know this from experience. My suggestion is to give it a try, follow instructions and cure the product longer than recommended until it can be touched without and stickiness!Read full review

I used the product as indicated. I tried to bond a small broken piece back together. It had first seemed like it worked, but touching the piece after curing... it was very fragile and weak. Unfortunately it was a waste of money . i applied more applications.. still no good. I'd really like to see these guys hang from a building wearing a bonded helmet..used with this stuff..... i would recommend a safety net, obviously , their is no shame here and I am quite certain they would sell their grandmother for a dime. only in America.. shame, shame

You get like a few decent squirts of this stuff and then its empty. Almost $20 for a $.25 LED light and enough compound to do a few repairs is a ripoff. This should be sold at the $.99 store. It does work, sort off. Its not going to hold up anything major but for a quick repair of small plastic parts its pretty good and thats all I am going to use it for.

Product battery is inconsistent. Bought more than one and light Varies from one brighter and one Not so bright (weak). Some leak fluid some more than others. Some tubes neetles pushed back to far in tube. Seems to not cure in time advertised. Really takes 24 hrs Of sunlight to fully harden. Have purchased 5 of these so far from different sellers. Not all work as advertised.
