Fixes the P 1870 code
I have a 98 Astro Van with 230,000 miles that had the check engine light on, was the P1870 code TCC VALVE causes 1st to 2nd gear slamming and excessive tork converter slippage, as I understad it. Quite annoying.. I looked it up on youtube and saw this fix. Requires dropping the Trans Pan Remove the existing TCC Valve, Install this Valve, it was not easy to get the old valve out but once I got it out Installing this new valve went quickly. I have put 200 miles as of this writing and no check engine light and no 1st to 2nd gear slamming. I am super happy with this fix. This Part Fixes the p1870 problems. If you have a 4L60E I don't care if you don't have 1870 code, my trans was rebuilt and factory valve overlooked I put this in, my god! Code gone, tranny 10 times better. Get it get it, If you think you don't need it, Get it, if you have a 4L60E GET THIS VALVE! simple to install, no more 1870 code, no more shifting up and down, now shifts are crisp & sharp, I am absolutely thrilled, this valve & valve body gaskets $20 bucks, I would have paid $200 dollars knowing what I know now. Fit tight, but use a good trans lube because its supposed to fit tight...my 1870 code and tcc slippage went away. Cheap and easy fix, just dont lose a check ball

You tube the job.....getting the clip out is the hardest part.....valve was tight.....put valve in freezer to shrink, lube o-rings well.....tranni now shifts to 4rth and over drive. Great product, great price, received in 36 hours....awesome job.....highly recommend.
