Worked perfectly on a Chamberlain 1/2hp garage door opener from 08/1993. Part number is a little different (398A instead of the original 291A), but after installation it works just fine. Replaced at the same time as a worm gear and sprocket changeout. If done on its own, only takes about 5 minutes (4 minutes of that is removing the cover).

Received the 41C4398A Craftsman LiftMaster Sears RPM Sensor Board on time. Packaged well. It is a direct replacement part for my Craftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener, mdl. #139.53973SRT Have not used it yet. After reading about the sensor going out, I thought I would plan ahead and have one on hand just in case. Watched a You Tube video on replacing it and it was straightforward. Hope this helps.

This was the part I decided I needed thanks to other helpful reviews. Garage door would move down 6-8 inches, then reverse back the same amount. The sensor light would not flash showing it was not the beam sensors that were faulty. I could unplug the RPM sensor board from the motherboard and it ran the same couple inches and reversed. I also inspected the wiring to the sensor to make sure it wasn't worn. The wires looked fine so I assumed it was the sensor board. Easy enough to install. Door now works like it's supposed to!
