The graphics are standard for N64, you cannot see the crowd so really the focus is for the ring only, but the sound effects are really raw and amazing. The crowd goes wild too at different times, even chants things for you to do, with a nice wcw slam sound effect on the mat with moves. The wrestlers also make various grunts and signature taunts. You do not get counted out which is nice, and the character list includes quite a lot. The move list varies with wrestlers which is an interesting feature, but disappointing if you pick the wrong one and hoped for more, so some really stand out and surprise you with an arsenal of moves. Like Perry Saturn for example and Chris Benoit, which has the WWE famous moves also. It is obviously nice to have him in there before he got banned from everything. Curt Hennig is in the game which is a treat, but has a limited move set. I still could not figure out how to do a finisher, but whomever you choose, you can just push a bunch of buttons and the game play is fine. I have only tried two characters so far, and the create a character which was not bad. Your move list is limited and appearance but for the low price it is now, it is worth adding to your collection. The sound is fun, cheers, and unpredictability. Especially if you grew up on NES, GENESIS, or SNES. This is a treat. The commentator is Tony Schiovone also so it is funny when he says "he goes for the same move again'. The game features the wolf pack, nwo, wcw division, hardcore and cruiser weights, so the character list is impressive. It has pretty much everybody from that year. Only down side are the limited moves for certain characters, and redundancy during game play, but you can have a really long match if you want to, which is a treat. Going 20-45 mintes with Curt Hennig feels epic when you use your own character. It is also difficult to figure out how to execute certain moves from game characters, that the cpu can easily, but this review is from a couple hours of game play alone first time playing. N64 definatly has fun games and obviously a two player vs mode that I am sure is fun. One more fun part, is during the game mode, while in a match sometimes random wrestlers from the locker room jump in, so it is like a wcw ppv.Read full review

I am a huge fan of wrestling and I used t love WCW. I am a big Rey Mysterio fan and he is unmasked on this one. :-). Well needless to say WCW went out of business but im still a fan of all of those big names . This game is fun for the WCW and wrestling fans. Now that WCW is gone I still collect the games but I moved on to the WWF and WWE.
This wrestling title although now outdated at its time was a very groundbreaking game with amazing graphics, backstage action, and an onslot of your favorite wcw superstars although some difficult or actually time consuming to unlock it is all around a decent game and for a low price a definate buy.
This is a great game. My 8 year old is better at it than I am though. Oh I shouldn't have admitted that!!
Mayhem is no compearing to Revange. It has comnterry and ent. music. Movse look real bad. Sloppy game play!
