We have tried them all, including the no oil compressors that last as long as the Teflon (or whatever) coated bearings do. We do prefer a compressor that requires oil in the crankcase, as this one does... they last much longer. That said, we have bought three of these, because the first one from three years ago is still running and will operate two nail guns without much difficulty. No, you are not going to run a DA or an impact over a period of time, but it will do for short duration's... takes about a minute from 0 to 135psi. That said, some complain of the weight and I could agree. It is heavy, maybe 45 pounds or so and a bit awkward to carry with the tanks against your leg. Look around and you will see many of these and other brands mounted with various ways on a 2 wheel cart. Some simply use straps and some are custom built in their garage just for the compressor. We simply carry ours and carrying two, they balance out. Like all of these types, they will walk on a smooth surface, so be mindful of this if the surface is... if it is valuable, put down a tarp or cardboard as the black rubber pads will be something to clean up later. If the surface is porous, like marble, put a piece of plywood on top of tarp... even high heel shoes can poke a hole in a porous spot. We leave compressor outside and hose it in, which eliminates the noise. Price-wise and typically, around the holidays, these can be found for around a hundred or so; both new and rebuilt, We have one 'rebuilt' and it arrived as new... just missing the bottle of compressor crankcase oil that new includes. And also important, should you need parts, such as a simple switch, they are all over the internet. There are other brands that look so similar, besides, the color, I wonder if they are not all made at the same place. Maintenance-wise, both tanks have a drain and in high humidity areas, drain them daily. When new, follow the instructions for break in and run it awhile with open drains so the compressor does not build pressure. Otherwise, change the oil like any other compressor and check the air filter that we have never replaced. I don't usually write reviews, so hope this helps someone...Read full review
