One commenter stated these are 3 position. I didn't find that to be true. The switches sent to me are 4 position, 3 pole as advertised. There is a washer with a tab that needs to be installed as a blocking ring. If it isn't installed correctly, the switch can turn too far or not far enough. They take solder easily, tin the terminals with flux and then solder to board or to wires to prevent heat build up.

This is a 4 pole 3 position switch, not the other way around. The terminals are so small I was unable to find a press-on connector that would work, and was forced to solder. The plastic base softened too easily. Wire wrapping might have worked, or perhaps a more skilled solderer, neither of which was available. I was able to take it apart, remove two contactors, and convert it into a 2 pole 6 position, and was thus able to use it, but found out the hard way that it could not be soldered to, and thus bought a different one.

It works fine, found it a little light, all plastic, but rather cheap.
