I assembled this printer in about 8 hours with a friend. The instructions are poor at best, you have to watch a series of youtube videos with no sound and hardly any explanation. The wire guide for the circuit board is also very difficult to understand as it is originally in Chinese with small English subtitles. After assembling the printer I was disappointed that it would not printer, it would go in the pattern of the design but would not extrude the filament. After DAYS of troubleshooting (their is no manual or help phone line), I found the problem to be a temperature error which in turn was due to badly crimped wires which plugged into the circuit board. I then had to restrip and re sawter the wires. This fixed the temperature error which was forcing the printer into dry run mode. Everyone makes mistakes, so I did not take that problem too harshly, however, after fixing this problem I proceeded to print a file and 30 seconds into heating the CIRCUIT BOARD BEGAN TO SMOKE AND CATCH FIRE! I traced the problem back to a faulty hot bed. Last but not least, when testing the circuit board to make sure it was outputting the proper voltage to the hot bed, my hand slipped which accidentally led to two terminals connecting which shorted the printer (yes i know this is my fault, but hold on). The short originated from the power supply (I know because the entire printer and the little red indicator that says the printer is on was not working) but the fuse which is suppose to trip when power surges (and events like this happen) to prevent damage to the power supply and the printer was still in tact which means something else on the poorly designed power board is faulty and shorted before the fuse. The printer frame itself is beautiful and the components are designed very well. It has great potential for accurate and high quality prints which you would not believe to be from a DIY printer. However, I bought a printer, not a pretty $250 paper weight. Play it safe and purchase a printer elsewhere, because if I had walked away from the printer after I began to print my room would have been engulfed in flames.Read full review

When i recieved this the instructioms seemed to be originally in chinese and then converted over to english, got confused and ended up putting it together backwards but eventually got it all together within 8 hours. A few things about the acrylic is that it breaks easily, way to easily if barely over tightend, 2 areas broke but i wasn't really upset sbout it because ill just print another part to fix it. The screws that held the fan on were the wrong size and i had to grind them down to make them fit properly but not a large issue. I started off by printing a test object to check for accuracy, it seemed to be ok but something didn't seem right. It seemed like it was strugglimg to print and things were slightly off center. Come to find out the screws on the bottom of the bed that held the part that made it go back and forth were coming out, the nuts had come loose from vibrations even though they were locktighted. Not a large issue, went to ace and got 3mm locknuts, that was fixed. Next issue i had was with the power supply, it started making noise. When it made noise things would happen such as the lcd flickering, the fans would slow or turn off and the printer would freeze to the point id have to unplug it, i replaced the nossle and that fixed the printing unevenly problem and replaced the fan because somehow 2 fins broke off of it which caused major vibrations so i changed it out with a 40mmx40mmx20mm, much better, little louder but worked. I googled the model number of the power supply and couldn't find it online.. maybe just out of date who knows so i bout a 2016 model, it was a 360-s i think (ill have to doublecheck), i replaced the power supply but i think it already did its damage to the main board. It continued to keep freezing so i unplugged the memory card board and tried printing from my pc thinking maybe it was the memory card. Same issue. I flashed the new firmware, same issue. So i ended up buying a newer board. The seller refunded me back the money for all the parts i bought except the mainboard. They said the one i bought was to expensive but they would send me a stock board. That is fine for now, ill use the new one until something happens and then put the stock board back in. Overall i think im happy.. 4 stars is being generous with all the issues I've had. Ive printed a total of 4 things and NONE of them printed properly due to malfunctions but im hopeful it will end well once i get the new board... i will update my stars then.Read full review

I'm very happy with this printer. It was lots of fun getting to put this bad boy together. It took some ingenuity and minor engineering to get it to piece together well. Some filing of bolts that are too long and wiring it together so nothing gets hung up but overall simple yet effective design. Was able to print first item with no problems after 6hrs of build time. Leveling the bed was easy as well. Definitely would recommend this printer. I have had it a week and already gone thru a full spool of firmament with no major problems.

The printer prints well. I am currently using it to make a life size R2D2. It did mess up on the way. I had to hot glue the side rails in place so they dont slip out. This isnt their fault but make sure to have a battery pack and surge protector on it during a storm. The small flash of power and you will have to restart the print

I have worked with over a dozen different desktop printers, and this one is by far the best value! Very easy assembly (took me about 6 hours while watching a few movies), the wiring is not too crazy (ok, it is a little crazy - the wire routing that is - no soldering FTW!!), and the software is just fine (of course, you can always use other software). Also, this one has an SD card slot! For $300 you cannot find something with this big a build volume, heated bed, and an SD card slot. I highly recommend this to anyone familiar with 3D printers! If you are not familiar with 3D printers, you will need to a bit of research on bed leveling, z-axis limit switch positioning, and filament and other settings in the software. Basically, you will need a friend or a resource to help you tune the thing into a working configuration. From my experience though I wouldn't be surprised though if the instructions will be updated soon for that too!Read full review
