I'm impressed thus far, as it has worked well right out of the box. Works and is as "sturdy" as advertised; so far, so good! Minimal warping (very slight-just enough to need to adjust my lens to "level") sometimes...otherwise it would have warranted a 5. This is a very good price for the quality, weight & feel. Very smooth!

What is not so good about this product is I have tried to secure the quick release plate screw to the lens with a screw driver as hard as I could turn, but the release plate still comes loose after a while. I then used plyers to turn the metal arm attached to the screw to obtain more torque in tightening the screw to the lens. This seems to have worked better than using a screw driver directly on the screw. Possibly, I haven't used enough torque to tighten the lens to the release plate with the screw driver. Everything else about the gimbal head works very well, vertical and horizontal panning. The unit is solidly made.

The build quality is very good except for one thing which could be improved. The tilt mechanism does not run free as the pan because the weight of the camera and standard large telephoto lens causes it to bind some when the lock is released. That shaft needs to be held by two bearings, inner and a outer one to eliminate the bind friction. Other than that this Gimbal Tripod Head is built better than I thought for the price! The slight tilt design weakness is not a major problem so it is totally worth the price.

this tripod head is tricky. I almost broke it before I read the manual. You need to read the little manual before you start to mess with it. After that, it takes about 5- 10 minutes to get the hang of how it works. Highly recommended, and great value.

At first, to save a few dollars, I purchased an inexpensive unit and it was a disaster. The MOVO GH700 is a very well made precision unit and worth every penny I paid for it. It works very well with my SIGMA 150-600mm lens. I recommend this unit with no reservations. If you want a gimbal mount this unit it top notch.
