I have a pretty conventional 500mm 'long prime' lens, and the construction of the 'rabbit ears' support was such that I was forced to buy a double-Arca-compatible 'spacer' to raise my lens off the long support bar to allow the support to fit in. Once I did that, the support fits and is sturdy. I have not run tests to see if it is doing its 'job', but I see no reason that it would not (no 'jiggle' or play in the construction).

I like this fitting and use it with all of my long Canon L lenses which themselves are rail mounted. I’m not sure there is any real benefit as I’m not aware of any problem with mechanical droop across the barrel of these products but I use it anyway. I am assured there will never be any droop! None of my lenses rotate but the ‘tires’ on my support got crazed pretty quickly then started to crack on the surface. Replaced with high quality O rings and all good.
