I've been in the design/renovation/construction field for many years. I purchased this unit specifically for breaking up the 4" thick concrete around my pool. The unit weighs roughly 50-60 lbs, and I would've thought it'd break through fairly easily. Not the case. I ended up putting it aside and using a sledge hammer. HOWEVER...please don't take that as a "negative" review. I ended up using this unit on a major renovation project for a client of mine...a 240 sq. ft. bathroom remodel that required breaking up tile and the concrete/mortar beneath as well. This hammer ripped through it like butter within about 90 minutes. Normally, with a hand-held demo unit (Bosch, etc), it would've taken a day or two to get through all of it. All that said, I'm very pleased with the unit for what I can use it for. If I was simply a homeowner trying to break up a sidewalk, I think I would've been disappointed greatly. One other point...the manual specifies an oil guage/window on the unit, but there isn't one on this tool. I'm hoping that doesn't mean that it'll burn out over time? Otherwise, VERY pleased. Thank you.Read full review

There are lesser wattages of this jack hammer offered by this manufacturer. I can only speak for the "3600" supposed watt version. Worked it straight for ~ 6 hours chipping up a concrete step...and it lasted. I gave it a 5 because it did everything I asked it to do. That made it a good value for the money. The user instructions that it comes with are about a useless as the paper gloves. Researching on the internet, I found that this model does not have an oil sight gauge, but is lubricated with grease at the factory. The user instructions say otherwise. I used the grease it came with to coat the end of the tool bit before locking it in place. That seemed to work very well. Also purchased a wider chisel bit for asphalt. This I will use to remove some tree roots breaking above the ground.Read full review

The Jack hammer works as expected. However the case it comes in is already broken at all the hinges. I have only used the product once.
