I really like this Samsung Gear Fit2. It stays on comfortably, works as expected, and the unit itself looked brand new. However, the charger looked like the little wings on it had been chewed! It doesn't affect the function at all, and I can still put the charger on the watch. Tonight I applied a protective screen cover and am charging it, and then will wear it especially to monitor my very poor sleep.

I bought this refurbished. For the $29 I paid, this was a good product. Compared to other smartwatches these days the Gear Fit (1) isn't worth bothering with.. and if you don't own a Samsung phone I absolutely can NOT recommend it. I bought it hoping I could use it as a nice looking watch that also served as a fitness tracker. My old Fitbit Ultra had died, and I figured I could take the cheap way out with a refurbished Gear Fit... Samsung's a top-line brand, I figured it wouldn't be junk. To be fair, it isn't junk. Though the first unit I received (again these were used) had a graphics fault, and showed a large black circle blotting out part of the screen. The second one I received has some button issues (the button's been mashed too hard too often by a previous owner). Positives: The screen is lovely, and while the active area of the screen has a comparatively large black border around it of 'non-screen', the screen is bright and vivid.. I've even had to turn down it's brightness. When you can get it to pair with a phone the features expand a bit. (I used the third party "Gear Fit Pro" app - to connect to my HTC Desire 530, but I did also use a Samsung Galaxy S4 for testing) I used the clock that shows the weather icon and temperature. It gets this info from the phone, so you'll need to take your phone with you. There's a really neat timer app that I have set to launch on the 'double-press' action. Double-click the power button and then tap the 'start' button on screen and you have a quick and easy timer (I have a 30 minute timer that I need several times a day, this is super convenient to have on my wrist). The wallpaper function is really fun, and I've had fun making some of my own. The 'find my phone' button is cool too, but sadly the app I use plays a very low-volume 'here I am' ringtone. The Samsung app on the samsung phone did not have this issue. The Negatives: The whole "Notifications" function is a complete joke. I just turned them all off. The pedometer is useless. I gained a hundred steps putting on a sweater, then walked across my apartment and hadn't gained a step. As such, much of the 'fitness' part of the application suite is useless. No idea how reliable the "Heart Rate" app is. There's no "Alarm" integration with the phone. I can set a timer and use a stopwatch on the phone, but there's no function to 'let me know when it's 7pm' on the watch. HUGE oversite. There's a hacky workaround in the app I'm using, but again it doesn't use the phone's standard 'clock' alarms.. I find I'd rather get out my phone to set an alarm and just listen for the phone to beep, leaving the fit out of it. No way to reorder the app icons using the watch. There's a function for this in the samsung app, but the third party app I use can't do this. The "Media Controller" app can't control just any media app you're using. This means Xiia and Rocket Player are out. In fact with the phone app I'm using, I can only control Google Play Music, Spotify, or something else I don't use. The workaround is to use Google Play Music... but meh. You can't 'transfer' it from one phone to another without completely resetting the watch to factory defaults. I thought maybe I could set the Gear Fit up exactly the way I wanted with my failing Samsung S4, then pair it to the HTC Desire... but then I found out that wasn't going to work. So I was forced to choose between customized app icon layout, or the battery life of the HTC. The Verdict: All in all, it's not a terrible watch. I mean actually it's pretty, I can customize the background, it'll even tell me the weather, and that quick access function being tied to the timer means I'm just 3 clicks from my timer starting. The watch can go several days between charges and is fully charged overnight. But as a fitness tracker, it's bad. Really bad. As a Smart Watch it's pretty bad too. While you can receive notifications on it, and you can control your media player if you use the right one.. there's not a lot of 'smart' to it. I wish this device had been more platform agnostic, or that Samsung had made their support apps more compatible. I still wear it, and use it, because it is an attractive watch, and that timer function is super handy for me. But I find myself hoping to replace it with something a little more capable.Read full review

I was surprised that I could find something like this after it's been out of production for this long, but it really is a genuine, brand new, flawless original Samsung Gear Fit. The box was opened, but the product inside is absolutely like new. I did have my doubts when the initial charge only lasted about 14 hours, but after a full discharge and an overnight ( 8 hour) recharge, the watch only used 14% battery life in a typical 16 hour day (no exercise or pedometer use), which is just what I expect from this unit. It's simple, functional, and reasonably discreet looking. Most people don't even realize it's a smart watch when they see it. When I actually upgrade my cell phone from the Galaxy S5 I'm still kicking around with, I'll upgrade my smart watch. But for now, this item is a great accessory item for the older Samsung phones (and maybe the modern ones too - I couldn't say) and I'm glad I could find a replacement for my old Gear Fit that finally refused to charge up anymore.Read full review

my first smartwatch. perfect choice for my Samsung note 4. Lots of customisation possible using the gear fit store. Crisp screen. -ve points: strap has a plastic layer that has started to wear out after some months, battery initially lasted a week, now less than 5 days. Overall a good product and works perfectly with my note 4

I have a Samsung Gear Neo and a gear Live, and was looking for something less bulky. This watch is exactly what I was looking for. Is better suited for sweaters or long sleeves because it doesn't get pushed back by the size of it as the bigger watches do. More light weight and a bit more appropriate with feminine attire.
