It distorts a bit the sound, too much bass, and the cassette makes a little bit of noise. On my car stereo I have to turn dolby off, and low completely the bass and up maximum the treble, also I have to adjust right / left balance, to be able to have it working well. But then, it does works fine after those adjustments.

Like most of the cheaper cassette adapters, only one side on the speakers works and has poor sound quality. The good ones are $15-$20 but actually sound ok.

This product is good for very low tones. I used it in my car and even at it cranked up to full blast, I still couldn't hear it barely playing my Mp3 music. I went back into Walmart and grabbed the one for $1.00 more, and the sound was really clear and audible from it. Best of luck!

You get what you pay for. You can listen to the music thru this adapter. But it reproduces a very bad sound quality. It sounds like is playing music thru one channel. No stereo sound at ALL!!!

I'm not blaming the device, the stereo in my truck was 23 years old so it was probably just its time. Sound was fine for that 30 seconds before my stereo died.
