Operator error is the only thing to blame. I mistakenly thought the board i was buying this for accepted AM2 CPU's. Upon receiving the item and taking the old CPU out i quickly realized that the board was meant for socket 939 CPUs. Hopefully I can find another old board to throw it in at some point, because the price was great and for an older chip the performance is still good enough to do most daily tasks. Wouldn't hold up to new games at 1080, but I'm sure it has enough oomph to handle Minecraft.Operator error is the only thing to blame. Works well as a replacement for old broadcom card in Lenovo Yoga3, however I still get poor signal which is probably an issue of this laptops antenna (or its placement). Tiny wifi USB adapter has much better signal, but that's not a fault of this card as the original broadcom has the same issue.
