Excellent lubricant for plastics
The lubricant is the ideal product for lubricating the mechanical parts of CD players,VCRs etc. It is particularly good for metal/plastic contact and plastic /plastic contact. I suspect that it will last a lot longer than the original lubricant. The reduction in friction in these machines, esp CD players to ensure correct alignment of the discs and the centering mechanism and the coarse tracking mechanism. It significantly reduces loads on the the small motors and belt drives in these machines. I bought this lubricant as I expected it to work as a high quality lubricant for high performance plastics. In reality, the lubricant failed to perform very highly. The stock plastic on plastic friction was much scratchier after lubrication, which is not what I expected from a high quality lube. It is, however, a good deal for the amount of lubricant you receive. I have heard from other people that this lubricant should not have the same effect that I perceived, so I will be ordering another tub to see if I just got a bad batch. Great for electronics
It's a very high-quality synthetic grease for metal on metal contact, which is also safe to use with most plastic parts. As it doesn't contain silicone, which can degrade and interfere with electrical contacts, it is suitable for various electronics that have moving parts that need lubrication.

Plastic grease that works! Won't Leech
This is one of the very few products on the market that I would trust on plastic, metal and rubber. Buying anything else is a risk. When you are talking 30 or 40 year old plastic gears in a piece of hi fi equipment you are working on, use this. Replacement parts are very hard to come by.
