They last!
I've had a set on my boat for years, using them for trolling for Kings in Destin. They also work great for bottom fishing as they have your rods pointed slightly up and out. (Just be sure to use a GOOD clip attaching your rod to the boat just in case the 1/10 chances it comes out of the outrigger). I've used these in both ways. I specifically use these for AJ fishing since I raise my bait up above the wreck, and as soon as the fish hits it the drag and tension of your rod keeps the fish on in plenty of time to grab the rod and unclip it. I've caught dozens of AJs this way. Also Grouper/Snapper etc. I would caution you on these things possibly bouncing out while moving. It happened to me when I rode over a four foot wave and bounced up and down. I just bunjee them down now and this relieves ... Best value outriggers on the market. Period!
I am extremely happy with these outriggers. The outriggers do everything they are supposed to do and are lightweight and easy to stow. The first day out with the new outriggers we were trolling for Kings using 5 3/4" 1oz Bomber diving lures and were able to easily troll 4 lines out of my 22' bay boat without any entanglements and caught two Tarpon. One 35lbs and the other 45lbs. Great fun! Why pay double for a set of heavy stainless banging around in your hatch when these work so well? Do yourself a favor any buy these outriggers.
