I finally found a cordless tool that has the power of a gasoline trimmer but lighter. It met my expectations which were quite high. The lithium batteries carry power almost to the end which is great. I am so glad that I no longer need to store gasoline or own gasoline powered units to do what I need.

I have owned a Ryobi corded hedge clipper for over 15 years and it has worked great. However over the years I have cut many cords. I purchased a Ryobi electric mower and was extremely please with the brand and decided to replace my corded hedge clipper. The ability to use the same battery was a decision factor but the brand was the final decision. The clipper is well balanced and somewhat light weight not to mention the battery charge life. I have since purchased the Ryobi weed eater with another battery and charger. I will eventually be replacing all my gas lawn attachments with Ryobi products.

The Ryobi hedge trimmer works great. Purchased it to tackle some juniper bushes and it made quick work out of this task. The 40 v battery lasts a long time and the trimmer is easy to handle.

I have used a variety of electric hedge trimmers and this was the first chord less. This trimmer out performed all of them and is capable of heavy use. battery life was excellent as well, only used fraction of the charge to get the job done. Very pleased and no cut electric chords! Exceeded my expectations.

the 40v Ryobi shrubber is really important to keeping my half wild backyard under control in the South. I generally buy a new one each yr, but you should see what I do to them and how much I can chop before I need a new one. I still have the 1st battery and a second, so I just buy new bare tool each yr for under a hundred bucks. It was the first 40v but now there are some other options, mostly more expensive.
